How Millennials Are Taking Over PR Outfit by Outfit

By Tonia Smart

The millennials are a significant portion of today’s workforce. As an entire generation, we have the millennials to thank for understanding and advertising current trends.

I truly admire the people in my generation. Their boldness, and creative eye for perfect imperfections are what makes us one of the most legendary generations.

Your outfit plays an important role in determining the kind of day you’re going to have. Every day isn’t a black 6 in. stiletto heel with a bodycon dress and plum red lips day. This fall, millennials are going for a more simple, savvy and sophisticated look. An all-black crop top shirt, with hip-hugging black trousers covered with a brown trench cardigan and paired with a platform shoe will set the tone for a busy day on the college campus.

If you work in PR, it is important to be in conjunction with the newest crazes in the fashion world. At many firms, it is common to see woman and men freshly groomed in stylish outfits. Today, fashion icons such as Kayne (40) Kim Kardashian-West (37), Rihanna (29), and Kendall Jenner (22) serve as role models for millennial fashion inspo’.

Millennials in PR work tirelessly to produce new trends using platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest to showcase their stylish outfits. In the words of girl boss, “act like an icon and people will start thinking you’re an icon.” It’s all about finding your niche and applying it to your workforce.
